Reach Out and Read Arizona Coalition was established in 2002 and is a coalition of 137 sites serving 98,770 of Arizona's children each year. We are dedicated to promoting literacy as a standard part of pediatric care, with the goal of helping all children grow up with books and a love for reading. Reach Out and Read Arizona trains medical providers to integrate literacy into well child visits by giving new books to children between the ages of 6 months to 5 years. Annually, our sites give almost 193,722 new, developmentally appropriate books to families. (updated 08-2008)
